CHARM CITY (Baltimore, MD) born + raised, Tate Kobang (KING OF BALTIMORE AND NIGGAZ GIRLS) may be a new name to you...BUT he is no stranger to the music industry. Kobang has been writing music since he was 11 years old.  His musical influences and inspirations are rooted in his family upbringing + Baltimore living. Kobang has been pumping out hits since 2011 but "recently" gained public notoriety from his 2015 Smash Single "BANK ROLLS” The song was originally performed by Baltimore Rapper Tim Trees in 2011.

"I released it to put some good feeling back into the city…foreal, foreal and what better way to do that than to make people dance"

Tate intentionally released Bank Rolls the same day Baltimore's own, Freddie Gray, was pronounced dead as result of excessive force during a routine arrest by Baltimore Police.  His goal was to alleviate some of the civil unrest and provide a mental + musical escape for the grieving citizens of Baltimore. Kobang has since dropped an extensive playlist of club bangers, dance tracks and features including: Uber Everywhere, Dis Side, O My, What I Mean, Chirp Chirp, Drip From My Walk, Yeah, Reason…to name a select few.  Mixtapes include Since We’re Here (2016) + Lord Of Da Trenches (2016) + Silent Waves (2017).

"He's doing what I wanted to do all my life.  He's a platform for everybody"

 -Nana

Kobangs grandmama, Nana, is a gospel singer at heart.  She adamantly supports his musical career. Nana encourages Kobang to keep a strong hold to his family grounding always remembering his focus behind the music, elevating the great city of Baltimore.

Tate Kobang is undoubtedly amongst CREATIVES WHO YOU SHOULD KNOW.  Your Welcome.
