"I am certain Ms. Lee is able to capture the spirit and imagination of her audience, especially as she focuses on the strengths and accomplishments of African peoples in the world, and more specifically, on the possibilities for successful futures involving African American youth in a global world. We need leaders of Ms. Lee’s caliber, tenacity, and concern for our young. I applaud Ms. Lee for her accomplishments and her commitment to this population."

"Her ability to provide amazing volunteer programming to the children to the YLP program while also navigating her collegiate career proves that she is a pro a managing multiple roles and responsibilities. GSCNC was extremely lucky to have her and I would recommend Lakesha to any organization or program.

Former juvenile delinquent and High School drop-out now Creative Director + Women's Empowerment Leader + Motivational Speaker + Self Love Activist + Bowie State University Alumna + Creator of #ALLTHINGSDOPE, Lakesha Lee is ABOUT THAT LIFE. Precisely a combination of sugar, spice and some things that are nice, it's no question why youth are attentive in the presence of Lakesha Lee. Her high-spirited personality, artsy-prep chic fashion sense and royal display of character are infused with monstrous doses of FEARLESSNESS. Radiating far beyond Lakesha Lee's natural beauty is her passion to inspire youth-young women with her simple yet powerful message,
"SELF LOVE IS BAE"
Spiraling completely out of control at age 15, Lakesha Lee found herself running away from the comfort of her home, in her mind, for the last and final time. She spent her days + nights wandering the unforgiving streets of cities up and down the East Coast. Homeless, hungry and fixated on her deep rooted desire to “fit in” by any means necessary, Lakesha Lee drove herself into a lifestyle that most young women don't escape to share their story. Her experiences equipped her with a set of “street smarts” to match her innate book smarts, a combination she used to survive on her own for 9 months. Low Self Esteem, Peer Pressure, Family Issues, Self Doubt and Internalized Self Hate left Lakesha Lee with a twisted state of mind. Her search for acceptance, validation and self worth was no ordinary one. She was continuously looking outward for a solution that could only be found within. Lakesha Lee has begun her Legacy to Uplift and Inspire African American Youth to take 'Authorship' of their Self-Identity, Build True Self Confidence as she did - by crushing negative thought patterns, destructive behaviors and stigmas of the past through THE TRANSFORMATIVE POWER OF SELF LOVE.
While serving as an Educator in the District of Columbia Public Charter School System Lakesha Lee saw a vivid and all too familiar reflection of her younger self. Many young girls + young women struggling with low self esteem, disconnected from their true selves, acting out and failing academically as a result of low self esteem and dire need for outside validation. Lakesha Lee worked one on one with these young girls and their families. Pearls Couture Fashion Modeling and Etiquette Club After school Program was soon birthed to serve a greater need for young girls grades 1-8, throughout the school. The mission of the program was to create a sisterhood, an environment and safe space to share/vent, provide self love knowledge, to boost self esteem, foster personal growth/development, and practice Poise through Modeling and Etiquette.. As Program Director, Lakesha Lee's experiences with teaching and developing curriculum, coordinating events, securing funds and sponsorships as well as managing volunteers provided an extensive foundation for the creation of THE @IAMLAKESHALEE BRAND. Lakesha Lee is preparing a Holistic Education Curriculum-Workshops designed specifically to prepare youth-young women for ABUNDANT SUCCESS in Life, Leadership and Legacy Building through Self Esteem + Self Confidence Building. With this educational curriculum youth-young women will be equipped with the necessary tools to "cultivate your UNIQUENESS and consciously create the life YOU desire" The model includes one - on - one and group training on self love/self acceptance + empowerment + spiritual/mental well-being + physical fitness/wellness + goal setting + financial literacy + entrepreneurship + personal/professional relationship building + social etiquette + community activism/awareness + college prep. Lakesha Lee has designed and developed like curriculums for after-school enrichment programs and re-vamped an entire schools academic and behavioral achievement system (Student of the Month Program).
Lakesha Lee's mission to inspire and uplift young women includes collaborations with Woodland Job Corps, Eastern Senior High School, William E Doar School for the Performing Arts and many other youth empowerment based organizations. As a volunteer member of The Girl Scouts of the Nations Capitol Young Leader Program., Lakesha Lee led a Troop of girls grades 1-6 in Southeast D.C., Ward 7. Lakesha Lee's innate leadership skills extend beyond the community onto the collegiate level. At Bowie State University, Lakesha Lee served two devoted years as Vice President of the Child and Adolescent Studies Association Executive Board, Student Judicial Conduct Board Member and Student Leadership Initiative Program Executive Board Member. She has served as a Panelist, Keynote Speaker for Bowie State University, UManagementLLC, Woodland Job Corps, The Future Project + Media Spokesperson for the Speak Life Tour 3rd Annual Awards Gala + Event Emcee for Epiphani Rose Events, Pretty Girl Vendor Social. Lakesha Lee's relevance and ability to connect with audiences is contagiously inspiring---Her electric personality abundant positive energy is always on point and shining through as a Speaker, Performer or Event Host-Emcee.
When Lakesha Lee is not preparing to take over the world, she is engaged in lyrical writings of poetic enlightenment, studying the history of Ancient Kemet, taking photos of architecture, traveling, roller skating, designing jewelry, aligning her chakras, killing the fashion scene, blogging, chilling with family or channeling inspiration from the Arts, into her arsenal...
