IN REMEMBRANCE OF RICHARD LEE LUCAS
Grandfather of Lakesha Lee; generations of children, grandchildren and great- grand children uphold the Legacy and Lineage of the Alabama native turned Buffalonian, Richard Lee Lucas Sr. Born December 11, 1923, Richard grew up in the little southern town of Wetumpka, Alabama. nestled between the Tallapoosa and Coosa River. During the flourish of the Industrial Revolution, with opportunity and destiny in mind, Richard migrated North settling in Buffalo, New York. He soon met his wife Lorene and raised four intelligent children, Fred, Coleen, Philomena and Richard Jr. Richard was a faithful husband, loving grandfather and dedicated ministry worker. He taught his predecessors with an exceptional display of character, imparting to each one of us the value of self-confidence, respect and community. |

WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
The LEEDERSHIP Scholarship applicant must be a graduating, African American High School Senior; Plan to attend an accredited and approved four-year institution; Show leadership potential; and not possess a degree from a 2 or 4-year College when applying for the scholarship.
Applicant must demonstrate ambition plus exemplary Life, Leadership and Legacy Building skills as evidenced by outstanding achievement in school, community or work-related activities.
THE LEEDERSHIP SCHOLARSHIP AWARD IS MADE TO THE UNIVERSITY OF THE RECIPIENTS ACCEPTANCE.
AMOUNT: (2) $250
