I had such a great day with my niece! I gladly commit to Aunty Duty, my 5 year old niece Layla is full of life, love and never ending questions. I’m here for it, always. I'm glad she said she wanted to go to the zoo, IAM a nature girl, I flipping love animals and I love being at the zoo! I returned home late Friday evening from a long, beautiful, long day at the zoo with my niece.
If you know anything bout DMV summer weather you know by mid day, it’s hot and it’s extremely humid. Well today the weather Gods were with us, it was suppose to rain so the clouds stuck around most of the day. It was cloudy and breezy. Perfect weather for an afternoon of walking…literally, walking for hours at the zoo. For some reason before today, I never realized when you’re at the zoo, you’re constantly walking, like the whole entire time. My niece made me stop for a break and I had to stop a couple times too. Here is Layla's list of animals to visit (she gave to me as soon as we got inside the zoo) Cheetahs Zebras Monkeys Pandas And Penguins We saw all of these and more minus the Pandas and Penguins. We walked from Harvard St to Connecticut Avenue, one side of the zoo to the other and we didn’t even see all the animals! Rock Creek Park is way bigger than I thought. Here are some flicks from our day at the zoo!
