Merriam Webster defines the word Ritual as: 1-of or relating to rites or a ritual-ceremonial A ritual dance 2-according to religious law Ritual Purity 3-done in accordance with social custom or normal protocol Ritual Handshakes Ritual Background Checks
Let us begin our debunking with DEFINITION #3---Social Customs and Normal Protocol.
A practice-event-something done normally, regularly---on a consistent basis. You know, we know, everybody knows, it's your regular. Standard. Ritual. Ritual to the point of becoming law!!!---
Which brings us to DEFINITION #2---according to religious law
Aye Yo Gotti---what chu say??? "That’s Law”
Translation---that’s fact, there is no deviation from what is said or what is said will be done.
It is so, and THATS LAW.
It’s a Celebration Snitcheeeeees!!!!
DEFINITION #1---of or relating to rites or a ritual, ceremonial HONOR YOURSELF, thats right, pay tribute and the upmost homage to you. Having SELF LOVE RITUALS in place affirm your Self Worth and Build your Self Value---Put YOU FIRST and commit to doing what you want Ritually, without shame or procrastination. A ritual can be festive or sacred and holy, the purpose surpasses that of the simple day to day. The meaning behind the ritual is substantial and upon completion energies are heightened and awareness increased. This practice is held to high esteem, it is meaningful. This does not mean the Ritual is elaborate---it means the ritual is MEANINGFUL INTENTIONAL IMPACTFUL
A Self Love Ritual combines all the above and embodies what you love to do the most---It makes you feel one with self. It solidifies your existence and gratifies your presence as a Spiritual Being in Human Form, It completes you---It makes you feel good---It fuels your soul.
When I was first learning how to roller skate and fell in absolute complete love with it---I was at Temple Hills Skate Palace Ritualistically, though. If I was not at the rink on a Saturday Morning I was there Monday night for the Adult Skate or Mid Week for Open Skating. I mean, I was committed. The mental and physical release I experienced on those skates was like any other I knew or had ever felt before!!! Sweat Dripping, Mind Clear, Body Groovin and Totally Free---The release was so real to the point of me loosing a significant amount of weight, loving Roller Skating and loving Me.
Roller Skating is my favorite Self Love Ritual. I’m going to get back to skating at minimum once per week and making it count!!!
If you haven't created a SELF LOVE RITUAL, YOU SHOULD!!! Think of your most favorite-most effortless-most energizing or relaxing thing to do---how you can turn that into a Ritualistic Practice??? Let me know what you decide--- For those who have SELF LOVE RITUALS in place, write me back and let me know what your Self Love Ritual is, why it's important to you and how it got started. Peace.
